I suck at blogging...

Ok....no one will ever read my blog if I only update it every two months lol. I need to get in the habit of doing it more often. I do have some pretty exciting news to share though.

Maui and I got our first obedience title this past weekend. So her name is now officially Benden's Maui PCD. PCD stands for Pre-Novice, the next step is to upgrade that to plain old CD. Her Pre-CD involved heeling on leash excercises (left turn, right turn, about turns, halts, circle left/right around two people about 8 feet apart), sit for exam, 30 ft sit/stay then recall to a front, and 30 ft. long sit/stay for 30 seconds with the other dogs in a row. She was a very good girl and gave me lots of attention even with all the other dogs, people, and noises around. I'm very proud of her. I found the Pre-Novice class very useful for a first time trialer. I now have an idea of how things work and what I need to work on for Novice. I am very impressed with how my dog did and for myself being able to stay calm and not get nervous. I think this made a huge difference.

Nick's news is it has been almost 7 weeks since his surgery and he's doing really well. As usual, he is a very happy boy. Now he is allowed to run around a bit more and it feels good to see him do so. We finially get back to being normal, and I get to work on paying for his surgery for a long time.
